Siwidi was shamed by his father, so he went into the forest, where he bathed in a mountain lake. A giant octopus took him to the undersea world of Lord Komokwa, where he received the Kingdom of the Animals dance.

Many years ago, Turtle and Wolverine were close friends. One day, Turtle took his friend to his home in the middle of the lake and Wolverine almost drowned. Later, Wolverine taught his friend how to climb a tree and Turtle almost broke his shell when he fell from down. After that they learned to accept one another differences and they got along well for many years.

Turtle bracelet, silver, gold & emeralds.

My son, Edwin, holds a model totem pole that was carved by my grandmother, Ellen Neel, about 60 years ago. It was recently gifted to me by a very kind and generous lady from Illinois. A heart-felt thank you to Ondine for her gracious spirit.

In the ancient Northwest Native stories, the Sea Serpent (Sisiutl) is a mythical animal which, if captured, can bestow supernatural powers. Its blood, when applied to skin, can make it as hard as armor; its eyeballs can be used as sling-stones that are so powerful they can bring down a whale; and looking at its head causes the viewer to become paralyzed.

Sea Serpent ring, gold with a ruby.
